Founding Sales Partner
A note from the founder
After four decades inside regulated financial institutions, as a banker, a Group CEO, and a board advisor, I built Finnulate AI because I kept seeing the same structural problem: compliance was becoming more consequential, while the tools used to manage it remained siloed, manual, and reactive.
Finnulate is not another compliance tracker. It is an AI-native Compliance Operating System, designed to give CCOs, CROs, CFOs, and boards a live, enterprise-wide view of their regulatory obligations, evidence, and gaps, in real time, without manual triage.
We have validated the platform with serious institutions. What we now need is the right person to convert that validation into formal commercial relationships. This is a founding-level role, not a headcount hire. I am looking for a partner who brings the standing, the network, and the judgment to earn trust in a boardroom, and to own a piece of what they build, not just execute a mandate.
The opportunity in context
Regulated institutions across India and emerging markets, including banks, NBFCs, insurers, fintechs, AMCs, and exchange houses, are navigating an accelerating regulatory environment. In India alone, the compliance surface spans RBI, SEBI, IRDAI, PFRDA, MCA, and IFSCA. Across East Africa, the Gulf, and South Asia more broadly, the pattern is the same: denser regulation, higher supervisory expectations, and leadership teams that often get visibility only when an audit, inspection, or penalty occurs.
This is not a local problem. It is a structural feature of how regulated markets are evolving globally, and Finnulate is built with that architecture in mind.
What Finnulate is, and what it is not
Finnulate’s DNA is intelligence, not automation. Most compliance tools in the market today are either repositories, places to store policies and documents, or task managers that route actions between people. Finnulate is neither.
It is an AI-native platform that reads regulatory output, understands obligation, and translates it into institutional action, with full audit trails, evidence management, and a board-level view of compliance health. Finnulate does not digitise a manual process. It replaces the need for one.
Validation and pipeline
The platform has been evaluated in depth by regulated institutions across the lending, capital markets, and payments segments, with serious engagement at compliance and leadership levels. Separately, presentations at forums involving major global advisory firms have generated strong interest in Finnulate as both a client-facing platform and a potential delivery layer for compliance transformation practices.
The validation is real. Converting that validation into signed commercial relationships is the specific challenge this role is designed to solve.
What this role involves
This is a senior, relationship-led sales role, not a cold-calling function. The Founding Sales Partner will own the end-to-end commercial pipeline.
- Identifying and prioritising target institutions
- Earning access at CxO level
- Structuring and closing pilot engagements
- Converting pilots into platform relationships
- Shaping Finnulate’s go-to-market architecture, including tiering the target market and designing the pilot product offering
- Building the channel framework with advisory and consulting partners
Who we are looking for
The right person has a proven track record of owning and closing complex, enterprise-level deals.
10 to 18 years of professional experience. Enough seasoning to operate independently, command a room, and navigate a long enterprise sales cycle without hand-holding, but not so far removed from active deal-closing that habits and approach have become rigid.
A demonstrated track record of owning and closing complex, enterprise-level sales cycles. This is the primary bar for the role. Domain grounding in BFSI, banking, compliance, or advisory is a strong plus, particularly for how quickly someone can ramp, but it is the closing track record that matters most.
Strong, credible relationships with CxOs (CEO, COO, CFO, CRO, CCO, or equivalent) across regulated institutions.
Patient with long sales cycles, credible in senior conversations, comfortable with ambiguity, and adaptable in approach rather than set in old playbooks.
Wanting to build something, not just execute. Equity upside matters as much as compensation.
What we offer
This is a founding-level engagement, and compensation is structured to reflect that. The title, the access, and the opportunity to shape the commercial architecture of a company addressing a structural market problem are part of what this role offers.
For someone who has spent years closing deals in complex, senior-stakeholder environments, this is the opportunity to build the platform and hold a stake in what that creates.
